God

We believe there is One God, eternally existing in THREE persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but inseparable. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of all people, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, both fully God and fully man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14)

The Church

We believe the local gathering of believers, known as the church, is Christ’s body, meant to impact the world with his message. We are an independent congregation and Jesus is our leader, not a person or religious organization. The purpose of the church is to glorify God, share life together, worship regularly, serve our community, and encourage and help each other grow spiritually. (Acts 2:42-47, Colossians 1:18; Heb. 10:25)

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace. We believe Salvation is freely offered from God, and cannot be earned, but received only by faith and the repentance of sins. We are restored to a relationship with God by His grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect sacrifice Christ on the cross. We receive forgiveness when we are baptized. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12-14, 22; Romans 5:8-11)

Water Baptism

We believe and practice baptism by immersion under water, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to fulfill the command of Christ as modeled by the first century Christians. We demonstrate our faith and trust in Jesus Christ by turning from our sins, confessing him and being baptized. He will add you to the church and give you the Holy Spirit as a gift. (Matthew 28;19; Acts 2:37-39; 19:1-6; Colossians 2:12)

Every Believer is a Minister

We believe every follower of Christ is called to “full-time” Christian service. This is called the “priesthood of believers” and means we’re all called to be ministers. We believe every person has talents and abilities to be discovered, developed, and used. (1 Peter 2:9)

Scripture

We believe the Bible as originally given. The inspired word of God. The scriptures are without error and uniquely authoritative in all matters; including scientific, historical, moral and theological (2 Timothy 3:16).

Christ’s Death and Resurrection

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day and personally appeared to His disciples and to many others before he ascended. (1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25)

Spirit-Filled Living

We believe the only possible way to live a Christian life while interacting with non-believers in our daily life is with God’s Spirit acting within us. We try to live holy lives as an expression of Christian faith. By obedience to the Word of God and yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. (Romans 8:9; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; 2 Corinthians 7:1)

Worship

We gather on the first day of the week to honor and praise him by singing and speaking words of reverence to him. We model our a capella worship by that of the early Christians who worshiped without musical instruments for over 600 years. The unique nature of this style of worship is incredibly personal and powerful in its simplicity. (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16)

Communion

We believe in the weekly observance of Communion, commonly called the Lord’s Supper, as He told us to do until he returns. Our communion is an expression of worship, remembering what the Lord Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. (Luke 22:19)

Question Everything Taught

We believe we should be “Honest Seekers of Truth.” As a result, we want to be open to discussions about what we believe and what happens during our worship service. We know from experience we can be wrong and not know it. So, we believe Jesus when he said, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31 & 32)
